American Mud Race is the dirtiest, grimiest, muddiest obstacle race you’ve ever seen! We sought out the craziest designers we could find to create our one of a kind course, and then we gave them their marching orders – “Add more mud!!!” We promise you one thing…after completing American Mud Race, your shower drain is gonna hate you!
While getting insanely muddy amongst thousands of friends certainly is fun, there is a greater cause at play. We feel that it is our patriotic duty to support wounded American war veterans that have sacrificed so much for our freedom. That’s why we have pledged a portion of the proceeds of American Mud Race to Home at Last, a special project of the West Orange Habitat for Humanity.
Each year since 2007, Home at Last has provided one permanently disabled, combat wounded veteran in Florida with a mortgage-free, accessible home in appreciation of their service to us all. In 2012, the project will benefit U.S. Army Corporal Jeremy Voels, who was critically injured by a sniper shot while deployed in Afghanistan. Thanks to Home at Last and Habitat for Humanity, Cpl. Voels and his wife Ashley will have a beautiful new home in which to raise their young son, Kaydon and daughter, Charleigh.
American Mud Race is proud to support Cpl. Voels, Home at Last, and wounded warriors everywhere. We hope you’ll join us at the race to get muddy for a great cause!
